Activities for Year 2
As part of a cluster of Woodley Schools, The Bulmershe welcome Year 2s from our local primary schools to take part in enrichment activities. These events aim to introduce young students to a secondary setting to help them be able to visualise what a "big school" can look like for their future. We also introduce Year 2s to a few of our Bulmershe Students, who are employed to organise and guide children through the events and activities. We are so proud of how kind, caring and mature our Year 9 transition leads and peer mentors are - and this is especially evident when we watch them work with younger years.
Year 2 Jungle Jam
With the aim of providing opportunities for young children to experience Secondary School to help with future transition, our Jungle Jam event is based on the WWF programme "Happy by Nature" and lets children get hands on with art and music to teach them about kindness and wildlife.
